What does High Cube mean?
High Cube refers to a shell approximately 30 cm taller than a standard container. In a 40 ft HC model, this difference provides approximately 76.2 m³ of internal volume and a door height of around 2,585 mm, making bulky materials easier to load.
Which sectors benefit from the volume advantage?
Furniture, textiles, lightweight automotive parts, packaging, plastic products and e-commerce stock may reach their volume limit before their weight limit. A High Cube helps accommodate more products in the same shipment.
Why is the loading plan important?
To turn the extra height into efficiency, pallet, carton and shelving layouts should be modelled in advance. Door clearance differs from the final internal height, so the tallest item must also be checked for passage through the door.
A robust shell for modification
40 ft HC shells are frequently chosen for conversions into mobile shops, spacious offices, workshops and technical units. The higher roof leaves usable internal height even after services, insulation and interior lining are installed.
